Tomorrow, Friday the 5th, is your last chance to see The Hollywood Librarian: a Look at Librarians Through Film at the USF Lakeland Library. This one-of-a-kind documentary will not be shown in theaters!
When: 1:15PM
Where: USFL Technology Building Audiorium (LTB 1100)
How: Tickets are available at the USFL Cashier’s Office
See http://lakeland.usf.edu/library/hollywoodlibrarian.html for all details and watch the trailer.
This film is for all interested in cultural studies, women studies, literacy issues, public funding issues, censorship, intellectual freedom and libraries.
It’s a pity but I missed it. But hope it’ll be shown one day.
The USFL Library should receive a copy in about 12 to 18 months time, when a commercial version will be made available. There are plans to show it at various library conferences or during National Library Week as well. Hopefully, you’ll be able to catch it then.
