A part-time position (10 hr/week) is now open at the USF Polytechnic Library for the Spring semester. Due to work on the building A/C system, we have to open the door in the server room in the back of the Library, in the Group Study area. There is a fair amount of fan noise as a consequence. We apologize for the noise and inconvenience. The USF Poly Library and the Open Use Lab will be closed on Thursday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans’ Day. LTB 1115 will reopen on Friday, the 12th at 8:00 AM. We salute all of our veterans, thank you for your service! Business Librarian Lisa Zilinski will become one of two Directors of the Florida and Caribbean Chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) this coming January. This position on the Executive Board of the Chapter is for a period of two years. SLA is an international professional association grouping information professionals and librarians from the corporate, government, [...] The computers in the Library and Open Use Lab are currently being replaced by newer, faster models. We have already received new, bigger monitors. Not all of the machines are available yet. This includes the public access computer and the micro-form reader/scanner. As always, circulating books are located in the New Books shelves in the back of the room. Reference and DVDs are shelved immediately in their proper stacks.
