SLA Leadership Summit

I just returned from the Special Libraries Association Leadership Summit in Kentucky. I attended the Summit as the new Chair-Elect of the Information Technology Division. The Summit offers training on leadership skills and the SLA organization to its unit leaders, be chapter or division. It is also an opportunity to conduct association business as well.

Closing for Martin Luther King Day

In observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr Day, the USF Lakeland Library (as well as the Open Use Lab) will be closed on Monday, January 21st.

The Library will reopen on Tuesday, the 22nd at 9:00 AM.

Upgrade on proxy server this weekend

An operating system upgrade for the libraries will be performed starting Midnight on the morning of Sunday, January 27, 2008 until 6am Sunday morning. Here are the books that have arrived at the USFL Library during the month of December. As always, new circulating books and Children’s books are put in the New Books shelves in the Study Group area. Reference books are shelved immediately in the Reference area.
