What’s a day like in an academic library? Once again, the USF Poly Library will participate in the Florida Library Snapshot Day on Wednesday, November 2nd. Libraries of all types throughout the state will tell their stories and make their incredible value known through pictures and stories. On that day, we will take pictures of all [...] The Library will hold open door, hands-on seminars on popular topics. These seminars are open to all Poly students, faculty and staff; no registration required. Database Searching RefWorks Just a bit of fun reading for Halloween – pumpkins, bats, ghosts, witches and other creepy-crawlies are available in our Halloween display. All books can be checked out, if you dare… (and come get your candy fix at the Library, starting Friday) Polytechnic Circulating Collection BF1566.L37 1984 Witchcraft and religion : the politics of popular belief / by [...] Here are the latest arrivals for the month of September. As always, Polytechnic circulating books are located in the New Books shelves in the back of the room. Reference and DVDs are shelved immediately in their proper stacks. FIPR materials are shelved immediately in their proper stacks (there are no new titles for the FIPR [...] Lisa Zilinski, Business Librarian at USF Poly, recently had a book chapter published in a new title by ASIS&T, “Introduction to Information Science and Technology.” The book was edited by Charles H. Davis and Debora Shaw. Lisa authored a chapter titled “Computers and networks.” Kudos Lisa! In a first-ever development, the USF Department of English and the USF Libraries have jointly purchased two significant collections: British Periodicals Collection II and Eighteenth Century Collections Online II. They are now available online and bring additional depth to our research collections. We also displayed some of them in the Library (all items can be checked out) and included the stories of two USFP students with an Hispanic heritage. Come learn about David and Laura!
