Coming later this summer is a new interface to the USF Libraries catalog. The Libraries have purchased ProFind by Endeca, a product that will permit guided, faceted navigation through our catalog. So the basis will remain the same but the users will enjoy a new interface that will make identifying and resources easier. As soon as results show on the screen, users will be able to filter them by location or format for example, or will be able to choose additional topics to refine the search.
You can try out a beta right now. Go to our catalog and then click on the link at the top left that says “Try our new catalog (beta)”. I would be happy to know your opinion of this new interface.
