You need an item that the PCC/USF Library does not own in its collection? No problem, it is possible to get it, that’s is known as an inter-library loan or ILL. But, be careful, the procedures are different for books and journal articles.
Books
Visit the PCC/USF Library and ask for an inter-library loan form at the front desk or print one from the PCC Library website (second link in the left column). This works for books and dissertations housed in another USF library or not owned at all by USF.
Journal articles
Use ILLiad, an automated ILL management system, to request and receive electronically the journal articles you need. You can request with ILLiad articles from journals housed in the St. Petersburg, Sarasota/New College, FMHI and Health Sciences Libraries (but not the main Tampa Library) or from journals not owned by any of the USF Libraries.
Important: when creating your Illiad account, Lakeland students, faculty and staff must select “Lakeland” in the “Your Status” field. Lakeland distance learners should choose “Distance Learner”.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to obtain audio-visual items (videos, DVDs, etc) through ILL.
