The PCC/USF library will have normal opening hours during USF Lakeland Spring Break from March 13th to the 18th. The Open Use Lab will have the usual opening hours as well.

Tomorrow, Wednesday March 8th, I will be on the Tampa campus to present with Dr Naomi Boyer at the Symposium on 21 st Century Teaching Technologies: A Continuing Series of Exploration. The poster session is intitled Live Library Instruction for Distance Learners.

Chemical Abstracts Services have announced the discontinuance of the version of SciFinder Scholar 2004 version on March 31, 2006. The new version, SciFinder Scholar 2006, has to be downloaded from the CAS website in order for you to access the database. The Nature Publishing Group database has been experiencing technical problems with their server. It’s possible that some downtime will occur in the near future.
